New Life Church wants to make a real difference in your life – a lasting difference. We want this difference to start with you in your life and move to our community, to our city, to our country, and to our world. How do we plan to accomplish that? We want to help you get to know Jesus better and enable you to become who He’s created you to be. No matter where you are in life, we’ll help you find your next steps in your journey with Him. It could begin with joining New Life through membership, joining a small group, serving, beginning a personal growth plan, giving, or even just attending church regularly. Along the way, we hope to work with you to make the world a better place.

To build a strong relationship with Jesus, and with others, it’s important to engage in a community of like-minded people – seeking to grow in their relationships with Jesus and with other people. Groups are one great way for this to happen!

For Your Family

We believe that strong families are the basic unit of God’s plan and design for the world. We believe that, for a family to be strong, it must have a solid foundation. We partner with parents to help raise up the next generation ot have a strong relationship with Jesus. There are opportunities throughout the week for your children and teens to grow closer to one another, and to Jesus.

In Our Community

We believe in serving both inside AND outside the walls of the church. Getting into the community, getting involved, making a difference in the lives of people. We serve in many different ways, but there is one common thread: people who are passionate about showing the love of Jesus to others. In Our World

New Life Church serves a global community… both in person and online, individually and in groups, through the church and around the world. We are a missions-minded church that focuses on taking the good news of Jesus to the world. This is accomplished through missions support, short-term mission trips, and even technology – by distributing content and resources around the world. New Life Church has a global audience, being impacted for the mission of Jesus!

Our Story

At the direction of God, Richard and Sharon Buck dreamed of beginning a church with a simple goal: help the people of the Dallas area connect with God and experience new life in Him. With the help of a launch team, New Life Church began on August 30, 1987, with over 150 in attendance that first night. From the beginning, a solid foundation of Spirit-led direction, strong praise and worship, and biblical preaching and teaching has been established. After 24 years of leadership, vision, guidance, and direction, the leadership of New Life Church has transitioned to Michael and Heather Geddie after the passing of Pastor Richard Buck. God has directed Pastor Michael with vision and direction for New Life, with a passion for reaching out to the non-churched community, for building relationships through small groups meeting throughout the city, and for bringing the life- giving message of the Gospel to the world. We invite you to see for yourself how exciting church can be when the focus is simple and people are free to go after God with passion!

Our Pastors

Throughout the Bible, the terms Pastor, Elder, and Overseer are used synonymously.  Pastors are those men that are called to lead New Life. The Bible is clear that it is Jesus that is the Chief Shepherd and Senior Pastor of the global church and of New Life Church. According to Col. 1:18, Jesus is “the head of the body, the church”.  We follow his example and direction in our human leadership, fulfilling the roles that Jesus fulfills perfectly:

  • Prophet: the people must be taught the Bible
  • Priest: the people must be loved
  • King: the people must be led
The men that lead the church must lead like Jesus – not to replace him, but to follow him and serve his people as described in the Bible.

Pastor Richard and Sharon Buck founded New Life Church in 1987. Since that time, God has done amazing things through Pastor Buck in the lives of people here and around the world. Pastor Buck began a great work at New Life, and leaves a solid foundation for God to build upon. He is greatly missed!

Pastor Michael is the lead pastor of New Life. He is the primary preaching pastor and visionary for New Life. He and his wife, Heather, have two children – Gunnar and Sophie.

Pastor Chris is responsible for the New Life Kids, ages 6 mos. through 12 years. His background is worship, and his heart is kids! His wife, Melody, his wife, is worship leader for the Sunday Experience.
