History of New Life

At the leading of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Richard and Sharon Buck dreamed of beginning a church with a simple goal: help the people of the Dallas area connect with God and experience new life in Him. With the help of a core team, New Life Church began on August 30, 1987, with over 150 in attendance that first night.

From the beginning, New Life Church a solid foundation of Spirit-led direction, strong praise and worship, and biblical preaching and teaching has been established.

After 24 years of leadership, vision, guidance, and direction, the leadership of New Life Church has transitioned to Michael and Heather Geddie after the passing of Pastor Richard Buck. God has directed Pastor Michael with vision and direction for New Life, with a passion for reaching out to the non-churched community, for building relationships through small groups meeting throughout the city, and for bringing the life-giving message of the Gospel to the world.
